Augusta Prep Day won the last time they faced Wardlaw Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Augusta Prep Day Cavaliers put the hurt on the Wardlaw Academy Patriots with a sharp 18-5 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cavaliers.

Dakota Dunn made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Dunn was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Parker Hollimon, who went 2-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one triple. Shae Joniec was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Augusta Prep Day's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Augusta Prep Day will take on Lincoln County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wardlaw Academy, they will square off against Westminster Schools of Augusta at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
