Lakeview is 8-2 against McKinley since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Lakeview Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the McKinley Red Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Lakeview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
Last Friday, Lakeview beat McDonald 55-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lakeview.
Among those leading the charge was Kyle Senkowitz, who scored 27 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Gee, who scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds.
Meanwhile, McKinley earned a 52-41 win over Brookfield on Friday. Given McKinley's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Brookfield is ranked 344th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Stef Dorsey, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Avon Fryer, who scored 11 points.
Lakeview's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for McKinley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Lakeview came up short against McKinley in their previous meeting back in February, falling 63-55. Can Lakeview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
