The Avon Orioles will head out on the road to take on the Tri-West Hendricks Bruins at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Avon will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Avon will head into Tuesday's match hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 33) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Brownsburg 42-40. The score was all tied up 19-19 at the break, but the Orioles were the better team in the second half.

Keriawn Berry was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 9 on his way to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jedidiah Minnett, who posted nine points.
Avon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Tri-West Hendricks opened the new year with a less-than-successful 71-61 defeat to McCutcheon.
Avon will have to keep a close watch on Kellen Dakin and Wes Ward, a pair of players who had a big impact on Tri-West Hendricks' prior game. Dakin went 8 of 18 on his way to 21 points, while Ward went 5 of 6 on his way to 12 points along with six boards and six blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Miller, who put up 12 points.
Avon's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Tri-West Hendricks, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Avon and Tri-West Hendricks are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Avon hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 62.7 points per game. However, it's not like Tri-West Hendricks struggles in that department as they've been averaging 63.4 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Avon didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Tri-West Hendricks in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 73-68 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Tri-West Hendricks' Max Robertson, who went 9 of 18 on his way to 22 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for Avon to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
