Colin Kolb had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another player making a difference was Jake Brock, who rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Brock wasn't the only one working in the rushing yards department: Oakland Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 300 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Merritt Academy only rushed for 83.
Although Merritt Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Caden Siler and Ethan Wolfe.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakland Christian will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Mayville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Merritt Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Peck at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
