The Monessen Greyhounds can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent game on Sunday. They were the clear victor by a 47-26 margin over Westinghouse. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Monessen has posted since December 1, 2023.
Monessen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hailey Johnson, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Sidney Campbell was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Monessen's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Westinghouse, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monessen will take on Avella at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Avella is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. Westinghouse will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Brashear at 3:15 p.m. on January 30th.
