Overbrook has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will square off against the West Catholic Burrs at 4:30 p.m. Hopefully Overbrook focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Sunday.
On Sunday, Overbrook humbled Great Oaks with a 78-21 victory.
Overbrook's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Omar Davis, who scored 23 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least 25% of Overbrook's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tahmiere Manning, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, West Catholic came up short against Malvern Prep on Saturday and fell 56-47. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Catholic in their matchups with Malvern Prep: they've now lost three in a row.
Overbrook's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for West Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Overbrook came up short against West Catholic in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, falling 48-42. Can Overbrook avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
