The Ridgeline Riverhawks were the 67-55 winner over the Fremont Silverwolves when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Ridgeline took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fremont.
Ridgeline's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jagger Francom, who scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Vazquez, who scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
Leading Fremont to victory were Easton Duft and Hunter Hansen. Duft scored 15 points along with 9 assists and 7 rebounds, while Hansen scored 20 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hansen has scored at least 25% of Fremont's points. Another player making a difference was Ryker Saunders, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals.
Ridgeline's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Fremont, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeline will take on Twin Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fremont, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Riverton at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st.
