Deposit-Hancock was led to victory by Thomas Reis and Blake Fortunato. Reis dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Fortunato dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Fortunato has scored at least 25% of Deposit-Hancock's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zech Begeal, who scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Deposit-Hancock's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Afton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deposit-Hancock's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Livingston Manor-Roscoe Central at 3:15 p.m. on December 2nd. Afton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Milford Central at 7:15 p.m. on December 11th.
