Torrance has won seven straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Redondo Union has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Tartars will face off against the Sea Hawks at 7:00 p.m.
Torrance will bounce into Friday's game after beating North, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Tartars walked away with a 28-21 win over the Saxons on Thursday. Those 28 points were actually the fewest the Tartars have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Vaughn Reinert was his usual excellent self, rushing for 175 yards and four TDs while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. He didn't just play on offense: he also made eight total tackles and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Elias Emerson also helped out with an impressive 108 receiving yards.
Torrance didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Reinert and Amir Phillips. Reinert's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 118 rushing yards.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Redondo Union). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat South 58-21. The Sea Hawks pushed the score to 51-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Spartans had little chance of recovering from.
Torrance better keep an eye on Christian Zeno. He was instrumental in Redondo Union's win, rushing for 49 yards and three scores, while also picking up 59 receiving yards. Those 59 receiving yards gave Zeno a new career-high. Doug Moore was another key player, rushing for 64 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Redondo Union was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 257 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Redondo Union's defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Nick Ricardo and Lincoln Esparza, who racked up all four sacks between them. Redondo Union received some extra help from Esparza, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Torrance's record now sits at 10-0. As for Redondo Union, their record is now 6-4.
Torrance was able to grind out a solid victory over Redondo Union in their previous meeting back in October, winning 34-24. Will the Tartars repeat their success, or do the Sea Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
