It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hickory had no problem doing just that on Friday. They claimed a resounding 45-6 victory over the Montgomery Central Timberwolves. The Red Tornadoes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by 28 points or more this season.

Jaheem Jenkins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 87 yards and three touchdowns. Zay McCathern also helped with two TDs in total.

Hickory pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.3 points on average over those games. As for Montgomery Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Hickory wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 36-14 win against Franklin on the 21st. Montgomery Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
