Athens Drive hasn't had much luck against Leesville Road recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Jaguars will be playing at home against the Pride at 6:00 p.m.
It was a proper cat-fight when Athens Drive took on Millbrook on Thursday. The Jaguars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.
Athens Drive started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-14, 25-8, 25-19.

Athens Drive's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Annie Baublitz, who had 24 assists and two aces, and Holden Carroll, who had 11 digs and one assist. Carroll is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Meanwhile, Leesville Road waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Wolverines 3-0.
Leesville Road walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-18.
Athens Drive better focus on containing Isabelle Barna and Taylor Pasternak as the pair were huge in Leesville Road's win. Barna had 28 digs and six assists, while Pasternak had ten digs and two aces. That's the most assists Barna has posted since back in August.
Leesville Road's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Athens Drive, their loss dropped their record down to 3-18.
Athens Drive suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Leesville Road in their previous matchup back in September. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Barna, who had 21 digs and five aces.
