Even though the Lebanon Yellowjackets scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, the Clever Blue Jays still came out on top. Clever put the hurt on Lebanon with a sharp 81-55 victory. This was payback for Clever, who suffered a 63-58 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Lebanon still got an impressive performance from Bodie Cox, who scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds. The matchup was Cox's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Madison Myers was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 8 rebounds.
Clever's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Lebanon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clever will play host again and welcome Reeds Spring, where tip off is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Reeds Spring is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Lebanon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Capital City at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
