Indiana Math & Science Academy North suffered their biggest defeat since December 15, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Horizon Christian on the road and fell 87-53. While losing is never fun, Indiana Math & Science Academy North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 417th, while Horizon Christian is ranked 180th).
Indiana Math & Science Academy North's loss came about despite a quality game from Jasaum Sowell, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Jeremiah Oliver was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, GEO Next Generation's recent rough patch got a bit rougher two weeks ago after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Elwood 59-20. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points GEO Next Generation has scored all season.
Indiana Math & Science Academy North dropped their record down to 2-12 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for GEO Next Generation, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Indiana Math & Science Academy North won a match that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in December of 2020, slipping by GEO Next Generation 75-74. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was GEO Next Generation's Kameron Taylor, who dropped a triple-double on 36 points, 15 rebounds, and ten steals.
