The Centennial Golden Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Stockdale 67-17 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-13.
Centennial got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shi Nash out in front who scored 18 points. Nash is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kai Shaw, who scored 12 points along with nine steals and six assists.
The win makes it two in a row for Centennial and bumps their season record up to 12-4. As for Stockdale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Liberty the next time they take the court. Stockdale will head out to face Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Centennial will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
