Tomales is 2-8 against Credo since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Braves will be playing at home against the Gryphon at 4:00 p.m. Tomales is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.
Tomales will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Technology, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Braves blew past the Titans 12-1 on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Braves considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Jorge Lopez was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over 6.1 innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lucas Alves, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Shaun Pelayo, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Tomales was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Technology only posted a batting average of .083.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Credo, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Summerfield Waldorf 5-4.
Henry Humphreys was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Credo: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 0-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Carrey, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Tomales' victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Credo, their win bumped their record up to 2-9.
Credo's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tomales has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Credo, though, as they've been averaging 9.7 hits. Given Tomales' sizable advantage in that area, the Gryphon will need to find a way to close that gap.
Tomales got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March against Credo by a conclusive 13-3 score. Do the Braves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gryphon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
