Hill City/Northland had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Wrenshall 14-13. Wrenshall can consider this payback for the 0-48 loss they dealt Hill City/Northland the last time the teams encountered one another. This was the first game for both teams, giving Hill City/Northland a 1-0 record and starting Wrenshall off at 0-1.
Hill City/Northland will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Floodwood at 7:00 PM. Wrenshall are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Carlton next week at 7:00 PM.
