If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Shippensburg. On Friday they will take on Red Land at 7:00 PM. Shippensburg don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Shippensburg might be getting used to good results now that the team has three wins in a row. They were able to grind out a solid victory over Northern York last Friday, winning 7-0. Among those leading the charge for Shippensburg was senior Adam Houser, who rushed for 102 yards and 1 touchdown. This marked the 3rd match in which Houser has rushed for over 100 yards.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Red Land, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. They were completely outmatched, falling 10-76 to Susquehanna Township.
Shippensburg's win lifted them to 7-1 while Red Land's loss dropped them down to 1-7. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
