The Littleton Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They took down Elizabeth 63-47. The win was some much needed relief for Littleton as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Treyton Fletcher continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Littleton's points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Griffin, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cooper Connelley, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Diessen Lindsay, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Even though they lost, Elizabeth were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. This was only their 11th loss (out of 14 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Littleton's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Elizabeth, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Littleton's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Lobos at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. Allowing an average of 60.6 points per game, Conifer has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this game. As for Elizabeth, they will head out on the road to challenge the Scorpions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Allowing an average of 55.3 points per game, Sand Creek has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this match.
