Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Newark Memorial to victory, but perhaps none more so than Camille Walker, who had 19 digs. Those 19 digs gave Walker a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Mission San Jose didn't have quite enough to beat Washington on Thursday and fell 3-2.
Mission San Jose took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 19-25, 17-25, 25-17, 15-10.
Newark Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 11-15. As for Mission San Jose, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.
