After a string of eight wins, San Jacinto's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. It was a hard-fought game, but they had to settle for a 13-21 defeat against Citrus Hill. Senior Kaleb Hervey and sophomore Kajiya Hollawayne were two go-getters for San Jacinto despite the defeat. The former caught passes for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns, while the latter passed for 195 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hollawayne has been a consistent playmaker for San Jacinto as this was the 9th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Tahquitz have been struggling to pick up a victory, with their contest against Hemet making it three winless games in a row. Tahquitz fell to Hemet 12-26.
Everything went San Jacinto's way against Tahquitz the last time the two teams met as they made off with a 44-12 win.
