The Casa Grande Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 63-54 to Paradise Valley. Casa Grande was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Paradise Valley apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Casa Grande lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tayven Williams, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Aveon Williams, who scored 16 points.
Casa Grande bumped their record down to 4-10 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Paradise Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.
Casa Grande will be playing in front of their home fans against Campo Verde at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Paradise Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Willow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Willow Canyon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 19 matchups -- so hopefully Paradise Valley likes a good challenge.
