It was all tied up at the half for Wauneta-Palisade and Dundy County-Stratton last Friday, but Wauneta-Palisade stepped up in the second half. Wauneta-Palisade snuck past Dundy County-Stratton with a 30-26 victory. No one had a better game by the numbers than junior Austen Rozelle, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 108 yards and 1 touchdown. In fact, with 12 tackles Rozelle was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, everything went Medicine Valley's way against Elwood as the squad secured a 56-12 win. With Medicine Valley ahead 36-6, the match was all but decided by halftime.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-0. We'll see which team can carry over they success and which team inevitably falls when Medicine Valley and Wauneta-Palisade clash.
