Football Recap: Shenandoah Valley Comes Up Short

Shenandoah Valley scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 44-43 to the Mahanoy Area Golden Bears. The Blue Devils lost against the Golden Bears in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 42-13 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Shenandoah Valley lost, don't look at Todd Seiger. Despite the final result, he picked up 216 receiving yards and three scores. Seiger's longest reception was for an incredible 72 yards. Joel Nunez also helped out with an impressive 88 receiving yards.

Shenandoah Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Mahanoy Area, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-8.

As of now, neither Shenandoah Valley nor the Golden Bears have any future games scheduled.
