It's playoff time, and McPherson had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Pratt Fighting Frogs on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Bullpups sure are getting used to it with their 14th in a row.
Carter Bengtson was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one double. Cowen Huggard was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
McPherson's victory bumped their record up to 25-4. As for Pratt, they moved to 21-6 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
As of now, neither McPherson nor the Fighting Frogs have any future games scheduled.
