Littleton is 2-8 against Evergreen since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Littleton Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Evergreen Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Littleton is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Littleton suffered their closest defeat since December 9, 2023 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Pomona by a score of 43-40.
The losing side was boosted by Treyton Fletcher, who scored 22 points. That was a full 55% of Littleton's points, marking the tenth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Griffin, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Evergreen was able to grind out a solid win over Conifer on Wednesday, taking the game 57-44.
Littleton's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Evergreen, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season.
Littleton came up short against Evergreen when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 43-36. Can Littleton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
