Volleyball Recap: Fort Edward Falls Short of Saratoga Central Catholic in the Playoffs

Fort Edward and Saratoga Central Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Fort Edward had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Saints. The Flying Forts' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Saratoga Central Catholic found their leader in sophomore Emery Moser, who had 15 digs, nine kills, six aces, and four blocks. Moser is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Catharine Crowe, who had eight digs and six aces.

Fort Edward's defeat dropped their record down to 22-3-1. As for Saratoga Central Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Fort Edward nor Saratoga Central Catholic have any future games scheduled.
