On Friday Great Valley will take on Reading at 7:00 PM. Great Valley are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.
It was close but no cigar for Great Valley as they fell 32-34 to Oxford last Friday. Great Valley got a solid performance out of senior Jake Prevost, who passed for 333 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win. Prevost has been a consistent playmaker for Great Valley as this was the 6th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, we expected Reading to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Conrad Weiser, and they did. Reading found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 23-49 punch to the gut against Conrad Weiser. Reading were down by 15-35 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
