The Ridgeline Riverhawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with an 86-75 victory over Cottonwood. Winning may never get old, but Ridgeline sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
It was another big night for Jagger Francom, who scored 31 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Ridgeline's points. Cam Blotter was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten assists and seven rebounds.
Cottonwood's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peter Oguama, who scored 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Tolley, who scored 18 points.
Ridgeline's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Cottonwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Ridgeline won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Westlake at 3:00 p.m. on December 16th. Westlake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Ridgeline is ranked 18th). Cottonwood won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Crimson Cliffs at 1:30 p.m. on December 16th. Hopefully Crimson Cliffs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
