Desert View is 0-9 against Nogales since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Desert View suffered their biggest defeat since December 19, 2023 on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 62-14 loss at the hands of Nogales. Desert View has struggled against Nogales recently, as their game on Wednesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Desert View saw an underclassman step up: Addison Brown scored nine points. Brown's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight.
Desert View's defeat was their 15th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-20. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.1 points per game. As for Nogales, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-12.
