River View has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Hurley Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in River View's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups.
Even though River View has not done well against Mount View recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. River View blew past Mount View, posting a 62-34 victory at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory River View has posted yet this season.
River View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jackson Danielson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ethan Justice, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and four blocks.
Meanwhile, Hurley was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 54-53 to Twin Valley. Hurley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
River View's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Hurley, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
River View came out on top in a nail-biter against Hurley when the teams last played back in December of 2023, sneaking past 60-57.
