After a string of six wins, the Morgan Township Cherokees's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They received a tough blow as they fell 41-27 to Andrean.
Peyton Honchar and Jillian George certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Honchar scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds, while George scored 4 points. Honchar scored a full 33.3% of Morgan Township's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Morgan Township's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Andrean, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.
Morgan Township will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Judson-San Pierre at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully North Judson-San Pierre focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday. Andrean will be staying on the road on December 2nd to face off against Lafayette Central Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
