Glendale got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cash Newberry out in front who threw for 316 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt, and also punched in one TD on the ground. That rushing touchdown marked the first that Newberry has punched in this season. Joelle Rover was Newberry's top target, picking up 128 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Meanwhile, Lebanon got the win against Kickapoo on Friday by a conclusive 36-10. The win continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Chiefs: they've now won five in a row.
Glendale better keep an eye on Beckett York. He was instrumental in Lebanon's win, rushing for 139 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also throwing for 113 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight passes. Those 139 rushing yards gave York a new career-high. Brayden Christian was another key back, rushing for 115 yards and one score.
Lebanon's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.
Lebanon now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Glendale, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.
