La Cueva were successful in their last outing against Albuquerque, and they didn't afford Albuquerque any payback this time around. Followers of La Cueva probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.
La Cueva's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 33 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Albuquerque couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 33-0 heading into the break. La Cueva put the contest away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and eight points allowed from the defense. The victory bumped their record up to 6-0. The loss dropped Albuquerque's record to 2-3.
La Cueva will look to defend their home turf next week against Manzano at 7:00 PM. These teams both seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins. Albuquerque will stay at home against Piedra Vista at 7:00 PM.
