Cardozo has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Eastern Ramblers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Cardozo's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight contests.
Last Wednesday, Cardozo faced the Knights in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Cardozo snuck past the Knights with a 56-52 win.
Cardozo's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Young, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Wisdom Carter, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Eastern waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 55-38 victory over Bard.
Cardozo's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Eastern, they pushed their record up to 9-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Cardozo couldn't quite finish off the Ramblers in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 and fell 64-62. Can Cardozo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
