Coast Union extended the longest winning streak in Condor (8 Man) this week by beating Dunn, 61-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Coast Union made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 300 from 433. The improvement was the result of 61-14 victory over the Earwigs last week.
Thacher's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zane Schryver threw for 91 and one touchdown and J.J. Ntshaykolo had 43 yards receiving. On the ground Kyrien Edwards chipped in 182 yards. Bradley Callander helped Thacher's passing attack out by catching one ball for 30 yards.
Leo Turpan made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Toads topped Joshua Springs. The 5-foot-11 senior forced one fumble and recorded two fumbles.
Thacher's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Toads feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Schryver has thrown for 344 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Grady Jacobsen has seven catches for 80 yards. Edwards leads the league in rushing with 553 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Dunn takes on Laguna Blanca. Phil Martin's team is currently in fourth, while the Owls are in fifth.
Chuck Garcia Jr.'s team led Condor (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 61 points on the Earwigs.
