Valor Christian extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Cole Scherer. The Valor Christian Eagles snuck past the Ironwood Eagles with a 72-68 victory on Thursday thanks in part to Scherer, who almost dropped a double-double on 38 points and nine boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Valor Christian's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Wynja, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games he's played.

Valor Christian's record is now 6-1. As for Ironwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-3.

Valor Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 69-50 win against Desert Vista on the 3rd. As for Ironwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 77-55 defeat against Campbell Hall on the 3rd.
