Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Calvary Christian Academy). They took down Covenant Christian 67-51 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with Covenant Christian: they've now won five in a row.

Calvary Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Izaya Shannon, who shot 50% from the field en route to 14 points. Shannon is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Miller, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 16 points.

Covenant Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Layton Rutherford and Zavion Polite. Rutherford shot 55% from the field on his way to 15 points, while Polite went 5-for-6 en route to 15 points. Thanks to that strong game, Polite now owns an excellent 44.4% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Sabo, who posted six points.

Calvary Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Covenant Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Coming up, Calvary Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Santa Rosa Christian at 6:00 p.m. As for Covenant Christian, they will head out to challenge East Hill Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
