Hazel Green has gone a perfect 10-0 against Lee recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Generals at 5:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.
Hazel Green's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Mae Jemison. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Aiden Rapoza looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Andrew Beaverson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last eight games. Bryce Zimmerman was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Hazel Green always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .680. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Lee never got on the board in their matchup last Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Tanner on Monday. They put the hurt on the Rattlers with a sharp 10-2 victory. The Generals not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 7, 2025 (when they won 18-0).
Hazel Green has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. Lee's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4.
Everything went Hazel Green's way against Lee when the teams last played back in March of 2025, as Hazel Green made off with a 26-0 win. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
