The Norris Titans won the last time they faced the Northwest Vikings, and things went their way on Saturday too. Norris strolled past Northwest with points to spare, taking the game 48-32.
Leading Norris to victory were Grace Kohler and Marlee Emerson. Kohler scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds, while Emerson scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Bree Chambers, who scored 9 points.
Northwest's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Haylee Brandt, who scored 7 points. Emersyn Graves was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
The victory got Norris back to even at 1-1. As for Northwest, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norris will take on Wahoo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwest, they will be playing at home against Crete on Friday.
