Corinth will go up against Greenwood in continuing playoff action on Friday. Averaging 47 points per game, the Corinth squad has been an offensive juggernaut in the playoffs, so hopefully Greenwood's defense is prepared for a test.
Corinth was able to grind out a solid victory over Itawamba Agricultural last Friday, winning 44-31. No one put up better numbers for the Warriors than Tameron Patterson, who really brought his A game. He picked up 166 yards on the ground on 24 carries.
Meanwhile, Greenwood earned some more postseason success in their contest last week. They walked away with a 14-6 win over Louisville. The score was all tied up at the break nothing to nothing, but Greenwood was the better team in the second half.
Corinth was close but no cigar when the two teams last met in last November as they fell 40-38 to Greenwood. The loss knocked the Warriors out of the playoffs, so expect them to come at the Bulldogs with a vengeful fire.
