Blackstone-Millville was the victim of a tough 43-23 defeat at the hands of Sutton on Tuesday. It was the first time this season that Blackstone-Millville let down their fans at home.
Blackstone-Millville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marren Berry, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalia Morais, who scored seven points.
Blackstone-Millville's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4. As for Sutton, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blackstone-Millville will take on Nipmuc Regional at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Nipmuc Regional is ranked 70th, while Blackstone-Millville is ranked 54th). As for Sutton, they will be playing at home against Whitinsville Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Whitinsville Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
