The Fisher Gators will be playing at home against the Jefferson RISE Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Last Saturday, Fisher came up short against Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy and fell 20-8. Fisher has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Fisher got a solid performance out of Lane Creppel, who rushed for 80 yards, and also caught a touchdown.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 41-8, which was the final score in Jefferson RISE Charter's tilt against Houma Christian on Friday. Jefferson RISE Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-8.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 3-5.
Fisher beat Jefferson RISE Charter 18-8 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Does Fisher have another victory up their sleeve, or will Jefferson RISE Charter turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
