While it was all tied up 30-30 at halftime, the Loch Raven Raiders were not quite the Parkville Knights's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 63-60. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Loch Raven in their matchups with Parkville: they've now lost nine in a row.
Parkville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mikko Persia out in front who scored 20 points. Persia is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Council, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Loch Raven dropped their record down to 13-4 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Parkville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Dulaney the next time they take the court. Loch Raven will head out to face Dulaney at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Parkville will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
