The Eastside Tigers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Rutgers Prep Argonauts at 2:45 p.m. on December 30th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Thursday, Eastside beat Parkland 68-58. The victory was all the more spectacular given Eastside's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 47th in New Jersey, while Parkland is ranked tenth in Pennsylvania).
Eastside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jalen Long, who scored 18 points. The game was Long's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Love, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Rutgers Prep lost to Archbishop Ryan on the road by a decisive 75-56 margin on Friday. Rutgers Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Eastside's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Rutgers Prep, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2.
