The Hawkinsville Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Dodge County on the road by a decisive 71-52 margin. Hawkinsville has not had much luck with Dodge County recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Hawkinsville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bryson Singletary, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Darius Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 19 rebounds.
Jaedon Mcclendon was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 16 points. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Will Jordan was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Hawkinsville's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Dodge County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.
Hawkinsville will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Treutlen at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Treutlen has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,354 points over their last 19 matchups. As for Dodge County, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against East Laurens at 8:30 p.m. on January 27th. East Laurens has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
