Center Place waltzed into their contest on Thursday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Westwood Baptist Academy Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Center Place easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-17.

Hadlee Hakes paced Center Place's offense, picking up five kills. Hakes got some help from Josie Brown and her nine assists. Hakes was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Center Place's win bumped their record up to 29-2-2. As for Westwood Baptist Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.

Center Place has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Plaza Heights Christian Academy on the 24th. As for Westwood Baptist Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Lighthouse Prep Academy on the 24th.
