Scottsdale Preparatory Academy will square off against Valley Lutheran at 7:00 PM on Friday. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
It was all tied up at halftime, but Scottsdale Preparatory Academy weren't quite Veritas Prep's equal in the second half when they met last Friday. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy took a 24-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Veritas Prep. The loss shouldn't obscure the performances of senior Thomas Anctil, who rushed for 120 yards and 1 touchdown, and sophomore Oscar Frias, who picked up 40 yards on the ground and accumulated 119 passing yards. Frias has now scored at least one touchdown in the past four games.
Meanwhile, Valley Lutheran have been struggling to pick up a victory, with their contest against Red Rock making it seven winless games in a row. Valley Lutheran lost to Red Rock by a decisive 32-49 margin.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. With four turnovers, Scottsdale Preparatory Academy had trouble holding onto the ball. We'll see if Valley Lutheran exploit that vulnerability.
