The Johnson-Brock Eagles put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 47-42 W over Freeman. This was payback for Johnson-Brock, who suffered a 58-50 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Johnson-Brock was led to victory by Brody Koehler and Casen Dalinghaus. Koehler scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Dalinghaus scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Camden Dalinghaus was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Johnson-Brock's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points per game. As for Freeman, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5.
Johnson-Brock won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Johnson-Brock is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer in Nebraska (Johnson-Brock is ranked 19th, while Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer is ranked 250th). As for Freeman, they will head out on the road to face off against Sterling on Friday.
