Solomon Frisco of Calvary Baptist ran for the longest rushing play in Majestic (8 Man) this season against Calvary Chapel last week. Frisco's team topped the Lions as he sprinted for 64 yards on the play and finished with 64 in all.
Cornerstone Christian led the league in scoring this week after putting up 46 points on Crossroads Christian. Zack Brisson ran for 116 yards and caught three passes for 43 yards in the win.
The Crusaders' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Joe Cody helped Cornerstone Christian's passing attack out by catching three balls for 43 yards.
Josiah Tupaj put up the best numbers through the air as Cornerstone Christian beat Crossroads Christian. He finished with eight completions for 103 yards and one touchdown.
Shane Hughey made the biggest impact on defense this week as Bill Jarvis's team bested Brett McIntosh's team. The 6-foot-2 defensive end grabbed one sack.
The Crusaders' Dax McGregor and Jake Anderson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. McGregor has thrown for 497 yards this season, while Anderson, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 15 catches for 267 yards. Brandon Garcia from Marywood-Palm Valley leads the league in rushing with 465 yards.
The top two teams in Majestic (8 Man) will face off this week when first place Calvary Baptist takes on second place Cornerstone Christian. Calvary Baptist defeated Calvary Chapel last week, while Cornerstone Christian bested Crossroads Christian.
There should be lots of points scored when the Crusaders and Lincoln Dial's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Cornerstone Christian comes in having scored 225 this season, while the Cougars have scored 183. The Crusaders scored 46 points last week as they topped Crossroads Christian.
