The Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Claiborne Christian Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Gibsland-Coleman was fully in charge, breezing past the 77-26 on the road. Given Gibsland-Coleman's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the are ranked 378th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for DeAvery Durham, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and six steals. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Demarquis Durham, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Claiborne Christian can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They blew past Glenbrook 64-27 on the road.
Gibsland-Coleman is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Claiborne Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.
Everything came up roses for Gibsland-Coleman against the Crusaders in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 87-59 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gibsland-Coleman since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
